Join us for a Sunday of fun competition featuring multiple events and the evening social! Monday starts with the business meeting, followed by an afternoon of training and the evening social.  Tuesday is training followed by the awards banquet.  Both Monday and Tuesday’s training is free to all certified Law Enforcement officers.  Come for part of the event or join us for the whole seminar!!

Avari Dorrance, a Junior at Custer High School, is the 16-year-old daughter of Justin and Faye Dorrance of Custer, SD. In addition to High School Rodeo, she participates in several extracurricular activities including field events as a varsity member of the Custer track team. Being a well-rounded student athlete is very important to growth as a teammate and as an individual.

As part of the Southwest Region, Avari competes in goat tying and break away roping and is trying team roping this coming year. She is surrounded by an amazing and supportive rodeo family and appreciates all the coaches and volunteers that make High School Rodeo possible.

As a Junior, Avari is looking forward to the next years of high school. She plans to focus on classes that reflect her interest in agriculture. Avari hopes to pursue a career that will give her an opportunity to live and serve in small rural areas.

Mentoring and endorsing the sport of rodeo is a privilege that Avari doesn’t take lightly. It is vital that good character, sportsmanship, and a passion for our western lifestyle be held to a high standard.
